winters breath lakeside by hermik winters breath lakeside by hermik
winter's breath

a windmill on a dull winters day. second version without the hedge, instead with a icy lake.

To take the reference photo I had to cycle about 30km, though I only used it for the mill itself. Thanks to colossus72 for the motive inspiration!

Available in 1920x1440.

Both versions will soon be available as prints (16x24) on DAprints.

Oooh..Interesting. Very similar to winters breath, but this has a nice coastline. I like how this piece is more inviting since it has a "liquidy" or flowing bottom, whereas the rocky coastline of the other seems as if one is peering from the afar. Great work. :+fav:

this is such a crisp, clear and clean wallpaper .. it would be a shame if i didn't use it as my wallpaper. it's overall white appearance reminds me of the snow which is falling outside right now .. though i know there's nothing to do with a snowy atmosphere in the wallpaper itself (more like a world made of plastic!) but it does indeed remind me of winter.

:)

awesome work.

Wow, this is fantastic!

I love the light tones you've used, really captures the snowed out look excellently.

The vectorised edge style of the bushes contrasts well with the realistic style of the wind turbine, and the blurred reflection in the lake is awesome :)
